日本: Introcuding Yamato-shi

And so the adventure has begun...

After a couple of planes, 3 trains, and a short walk, I (eventually) found my way to my new home all by myself! I only ran into a few minute snags, which were mostly due to my own..anxieties?  But that's a whole other discussion, no?  Let's move along!

Introducing Yamato-shi!

Yamato is in central Kanagawa Prefecture. We are southwest of Tokyo, northwest of Yokohama, and north of Fujisawa and Enoshima Island. Got it? No? Look at a map. Supposedly, this area has been inhabited for thousands of years according to those history peeps and wikipedia.

We were worried Yamato was gonna be a bit rural-y for our NYC sides, but I think I lived in Maine long enough to appreciate any civilization and public transportation (kidding). But even K is into the area.  It's a pretty awesome city and we are liking it more and more each day.

Welcome to LeoPalace YS Sezon II! (I live here...in case that wasn't clear)

Window views~ ahhhh

My favorite part of the apartment location, but I'll get to that ~_^

Tons of awesomely quaint streets.

Swanky looking apartments, "La Siesta"
The other side of the tracks...not sure which side is the "wrong" side

K says, "Let's go buy more than we need at the 100 Yen shop!"

That's all for now. I've got to get dinner going before K gets home!

Coming soon! Middle school kids are crazy athletic! I'm reunited with my long-lost sister! And an adevtnure to the craziness that is Tokyo ensues! Can you say free visual kei promotional cd and photo op? Yes, yes you can.

Till next time~
